Common Dongle Problems

ID #1073

Trying to delete redundant orders using the OPTIONS route. Everything fine until the final enter. Balloon comes up 'Overflow in Module Clearord at address 0E2F:125C Press any key to return to desktop' Any answers?

This error usually means that your orders have become corrupt. This often means that at some point a user has entered one of the illegal characters set out in the documentation (Page 16 of the Manual installed with the software), which are:

" \ / [ ] : * | + = ; , . ? < > space

The only resolution for corrupted orders is to do a clean install of the software.

To do a clean install you must do the following:

  1. Backup any images or logos that you have previously added to the directory structure of the software.
  2. Uninstall the software form its uninstall link in your start menu, or using the Windows 'Add Remove Programs' feature.
  3. Only after completing the above you must delete this folder from your computer: c:\calcon
  4. Re-install the software from the CD you were provided with when you purchased the software.

Note:
The ComfortableConservatories software which was designed to replace Digital Conservatories do not have the same method for saving orders so do not have the same problem as outline above.
