ComfortableConservatories » ComfortableConservatories v4

ID #1075

I have installed ComfortableConservatories v4 on to my Windows Vista based computer and plugged my dongle in, the dongle light is lit, but when I launch the software it gives me the 'your software will expire in x days reminder' ?

This is down to the new windows security settings, which in some instances does not allow our software install routine to finalise dongle driver compatibility. When this fails your software will not recognise that you have your dongle plugged in and thus will try and work in 'trial' mode.

To ensure the dongle install is properly finalised you must do the following:

  1. Navigate to this folder on your computer:
    C:\comfortable\Conservatories\extras\nt2kxpfix

  2. Press your right mouse button on the 'Dink2000.exe' file, so that the 'right-click' menu appears.

  3. Left click on the option that says 'Run as administrator'. All going well you will see an information window appear saying “ddnt.sys” has been successfully installed.

  4. Press 'OK' on the information window.

ComfortableConservatories should now run as normal.
